Grandview opened the 2008-09 season at Overland on Thursday night, December 4, 2008. Overland continues to rebuild their wrestler program and there were many sub varsity matches.  The varsity teams were introduced and Overland recognized previous wrestlers and coaches in their alumni night celebration.  Grandview's head coach, Greg Maestas, was recognized by Overland for the many years he coached at Overland.  Overland sent four wrestlers to the mat to compete against the Wolves varsity team and the Wolves won the dual meet, 72-12.
