Aurora's 27 qualifiers placed in state brackets

Only one day after securing their state berths, Aurora's 27
state wrestling qualifiers found out what road they would
have at the upcoming state tournament.
The brackets for the Feb. 15-17 state tournament were set
Feb. 11 and the city had a number of high seeds among the 25
qualifiers in 5A and two in 4A.
Regis' John Hooper won a regional championship Feb. 10 at
Loveland High School, and earned the top seed in the
140-pound bracket. He brings a 39-3 record into his opening
match against Daniel Nissen of Standley Lake. |
